Our friends at the Current will be premiering our recording of “Get Well Slim” on Sunday night, December 8 at 6 P.M. This song was written in honor of Bob “Slim” Dunlap and will be the first release in a series of musical tributes to him from Slim Town Singles, a site that benefits his ongoing care and recovery from a debilitating stroke. We had a blast getting together to record this with our old pal Tom Herbers at Creation Studios. Dave popped and rocked behind kit, Heath strapped on the bass like old times, Jimmy hauled in the steel, and John Eller joined in on piano and backing vocals. This was a nice reminder of how much fun recording a new song can be. And it got even better: We had some great support from the big-hearted chorus consisting of Dave, Tom, John Eller, Dave Biljan and Dave Boquist. Hope you enjoy.
