John Eller, who gets our vote as the most versatile and accomplished performer in the Twin Cities (and well beyond), will fill in on bass for the Sycamores the Minneapolis Eagle’s Club on Saturday, October 13th. John has been a longtime contributor to the Sycamores studio efforts over the years, beginning with backing vocals on “My Blue Collar,” the opening track from the very first Sycamores album, and continuing through to more recent, unreleased material that will be previewed at the show.

John’s most recent project is the Shiny Lights, a continued partnership with longtime collaborator Chris Lynch (The Picadors, Eller Lynch), plus Steve Price, Noah Levy, and Dave Russ. The result is magnificent pop and rock that breaks new ground as it stokes your cravings for classic sounds. The Shiny Lights have two new EPs which we highly recommend.

The Sycamores appear in support of Pete Hofmann and the Measured Doses, which also features Mr. Eller on keyboards, bass and guitar (get yer Eller fix on!). Pete’s evocative songs hit every note, from soulful ballad to raucous pop. Come see, hear, here.

$5 cover. 8:30 PM.
